Kenneth James Richards

Kenneth J. Richards PhD., 65, of Arlington, TX, formerly of Kingston, NY and MA, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014. He was born October 5, 1949 in Beacon, NY to the late James Leonard and Toni (Beckman) Richards.


He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Amherst College in 1975, his Masters in Education from Harvard in 1983 and later his PhD from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2009. Prior to his retirement, Ken was employed by UTD. He loved reading, writing, and was recently working on a screen play.


He is survived by his siblings, Susan Dugan, Lucille Moore, David & James DeGroat Jr., as well as several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is predeceased by his sisters, Donna Burrows, Debra Hasbrouck, and Grace DeGroat.


Arrangements entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Wednesday January 7th from 12pm to 1pm with the funeral service starting at 1pm. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
