Kenneth G. Bryant, Jr., 50, of Gage Street died Friday, October 05, 2012 at Kingston Hospital.
He was born in Brooklyn, a son of Jacqueline Dawson Bryant and the late Kenneth G. Bryant, Sr. A Kingston High School graduate, class of 1980, Ken received an Associate's Degree in Computer Science from Columbia Greene College.
For 25 years Ken was a volunteer coach for the Kingston Youth Biddy Basketball Program; a chair of the Ulster County Youth Bureau and a commissioner of the City of Kingston Commission on Human Rights.
Since 2004 he has been a member of the Kingston Parks and Recreation Commission and served two terms as chair. Ken was employed for 15 years at United Health Care. A co-founder of INX Solutions, Kingston, Ken was a percussionist at Pointe of Praise.
Beloved husband of Patricia "Trish" Brown Bryant; loving father of Tyler James Bryant at home; son of Mrs. Jacqueline Bryant of Kingston and the late Kenneth Bryant Sr.; brother of Kevin Bryant and his wife Elena of Kingston; uncle of Elisia, Kevin Jr., Kendra, Benjamin, Cashante, Amare, Janaya, Terrell and Keyana. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.
Family and friends may call at Pointe of Praise, 243 Hurley Avenue, Kingston on Tuesday from 2:00 4:00 pm. A funeral service will then be officiated at 4:00 pm by Pastor James B. Childs.

The Pointe Church is located at 243 Hurley Avenue in Kingston, New York 12401. From The Thruway (I-87): Take exit 19 toward New York 28/Kingston/Rhinecliff Br. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Washington Avenue. At the second light take a right onto Hurley Avenue. Continue 0.4 miles to the Thruway overpass. Cross under the overpass and take an immediate right. Continue straight on this road until you reach the church.
