Kingston – Kazue Nakajima Dabney of South Pine Street died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at her home. She was 78.
She was born in Kanagawa Ken, Japan on March 20, 1927. On January 7, 1953 Kazue married Dorris D. Dabney Jr. in Tokyo. She immigrated to this country in 1954 and settled in Kingston.
For 17 years Kazue was a seamstress at Ameribag, Kingston. She retired in August 2004.
One daughter Jeanette Dabney and one sister Kayo Nakajima both died previously.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 52 years are two daughters Donna Marie Jeffress and her husband Eugene of Eddyville and Cheryl Lynn Lucas and her husband Ameous of Baltimore, MD; two sons Douglas Dean Dabney and his wife Zina of Waihawa, Hawaii and David Duane Dabney and his wife Wendy of Kingston; two brothers Yasaji and Isamu Nakajima, both of Japan, two sisters Michiko Wakabashi and Masako Honda, both of Japan, seven grandchildren Bryan and Gerritt Jeffress, Tomi and Alasaro Lucas, Kye and Jacob Dabney and Kumiko Dabney, many nieces and nephews.
