Kingston - Kay M. Williamson, formerly of Esopus Avenue died Monday, October 7, 2013 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 73. She was born October 17, 1939 in Ossining, a daughter of the late Samuel and Myrtle Lent Barger. She owned and operated with her late husband Jack, their store, Jack's Stationary on Broadway in Kingston for many years. She is remembered for having a lollipop ready for every child. After retirement, she worked at Shop Rite in Kingston and volunteered at People's Place and the food pantry where every child got their cookie. She enjoyed spending time with her family, animals, dining out, pinball, bazaars, craft fairs and carnivals. "She was big kid at heart." She was a loyal and devoted aunt that always said yes when you needed her. She will be greatly missed and kept close to our hearts forever. Surviving are two nieces, Petra M. Kaiser and her husband Barry G. Sr.; Robin M. Thorbjornsen and her husband Steve Sr.; four great-nieces and nephews, Barry G. Kaiser Jr. and Jennie M. Kaiser and Joseph Guido and Steven Thorbjornsen Jr. She was predeceased by her late husband Jack Williamson who died July 30, 2013; her sister Jennie Marie Wilson, her brother-in-law George Wilson and her half-brother, Warren Barger. Cremation and inurnment at Wiltwyck Cemetery were private under the direction of A. Carr & Son funeral Home, 65 Lucas Avenue, Kingston.
