Kathryn "Katie" Scully

Kathryn “Katie” Scully, 75, of Saugerties NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 27, 2023. She was born on July 7, 1947, in Greenville NY to the late Sterling and Jesse Mae (Whispell) Atkins. She was married to William Scully and then the late John Staiger. She is survived by her children Christina Scully and Peter Scully, a special Grandson William Scully III, Granddaughters Hannah Scully And Dr Iiona Scully, Gillian Kerrigan, a brother Sterling “Bud” Atkins and a very special “daughter” Trudi McGarry along with many great grand children.  She was predeceased by her son William, Grandson James, sister Jane Mcintosh and sister Sue Anne Slater.

Katie had worked for Rotron MFG in Woodstock NY for many years in various positions and was a home health care aid. Katie loved spending time with her grand children and  great grand children, In her younger years she was an avid hiker and loved the great outdoors with one of her proudest moments was catching a 4 lb Rainbow Trout in Echo Lake on one of her hiking/camping trips.  Katie was there for friends and family.

After cremation a private family service will be held.
