Kathryn D. Caprotti, of Ulster Landing Road, Town of Ulster died Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Kingston Hospital. She was 86.
Kathryn was born in East Kingston on March 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Cornelius W. and Margaret Mottes Watzka. She graduated with a degree from New Paltz Teachers College. For several years she taught at the East Kingston School.
For many years Kathryn lived in Roosevelt Park, Kingston. A parishioner of St. Colman's Church, she moved to Ulster Landing in 1968.
Her husband Peter A. Caprotti died September 12, 1990. One sister Margaret Astalos and one grandson Peter Anthony Caprotti both died previously.
Surviving are two sons Peter A. Caprotti Jr. and his wife Cathy of Margaretville, John M. Caprotti of West Hurley; two daughters Joan Deodato and her husband Derrick of Glen Rock, NJ and Ann Mino and her husband Richard of Kingston; one sister Joan Querin of Saugerties; 14 grandchildren Anthony, Emmanuel, Samuel, John Paul, Dylan, Matthew, Jaimie and Nigel Caprotti, Marc, Aja and Jordan Deodato, Catie, Nicholas and Christopher Mino; many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Colman's Church, East Kingston at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
