Katherine E. 'Kate' Eigo of John Street, East Kingston died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at Thompson House, Rhinebeck. She was 93.
A native and lifelong resident of East Kingston, Kay was born June 6, 1912, a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Mary R. Bostel Eigo.
For many years Kay worked as a seamstress at the Baltz Pajama Factory and Manhattan Shirt Factory, Kingston.
She was a parishioner of St. Colman's Church, East Kingston.
Two brothers Michael and Thomas Eigo and two sisters Marie Eigo and Frances Powers all died previously.
Surviving are her son Joseph F. Tiano of East Kingston; three sisters Margaret Alecca of East Kingston, Cecelia Kimbark and Ella Garrity, both of Kingston, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Tuesday from 6 - 9 pm. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Colman's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
