Kandy Elizabeth Mendock

Kandy Elizabeth Mendock, 52, of Second Street, Connelly, NY, died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Benedictine Hospital after a short illness. She was born January 2, 1956 in Kingston, NY to the late Charles and Mabel (Ostrander) Bodie, Sr..

She was married to Edward C. Mendock, they wed on September 30, 1978 at Trinity Methodist Church.

She had attended Kingston High School. Kandy had worked for the Kingston Hospital for 12 years as a switchboard operator, prior to that she had worked for Medrex. She enjoyed spending time with her family and in particular her grandchildren. One of her favorite hobbies was watching old movies.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Derek E. Mendock, Connelly, NY, daughter Melissa L. Mendock, Connelly, NY, son Joseph M. Mendock, of home, brother Charles Bodie, Jr., New Berlin, N, sister Bonnie O'Dell, New Berlin, NY, Janet Reynolds, North Carolina, Mary Orbacz, Connelly, NY, Vivian Bodie, Connelly, NY, brother Wayne Bodie, New Berlin, Dean Bodie, Oxford,NY sister Jennie Osborne, New Berlin, Mabel Combes, North Carolina, Lee Foster, Connelly, NY, , Chayanne Bodie, Connelly, NY., grandchildren Kyle Jr., and Kendra Banks, Jacey and Kayden Mendock, all of Connelly, daughter in law of Marilyn and Steve Thayer, Shokan. many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Kandy was predeceased by sister, Phyliss Mott, brother, William Bodie, and a granddaughter Jerricka Mendock.
