June W. Freundorfer

June W. Freundorfer, 89, passed away peacefully at Archcare at Ferncliff, Rhinebeck, NY on September 23, 2012. She will be missed by the many who loved her.




Mrs. Freundorfer was born on October 5, 1922 in Endicott, NY. She lived in Endicott, NY, where she met and married her childhood sweetheart and loving husband, Francis "Ken" Freundorfer on April 11, 1942 at St. Ambrose Church in Endicott, NY. The family lived in Endwell, NY until 1966, when they moved to Kingston, NY.




She leaves behind their daughter, Lynn Freundorfer Colomello, and her friend Paul Eades; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Colomello and her husband Steve Poleri; her grandson, C. Peter Colomello and his partner Hara Fiato; her daughter-in-law, Paulette Freundorfer; and her grandson, Colyn Freundorfer.




Her son, Neil, predeceased her on December 30, 2010. Her husband, Ken, predeceased her on November 27, 2011.




Mr. & Mrs. Freundorfer were avid square dancers in both Endwell and Kingston, and were presidents of the Maine-Endwell Parent's Music Association, as well as active participants for several years.




Mrs. Freundorfer was an excellent, prolific seamstress, knitter and needlepointer, as well as a myriad of other craft projects. She belonged to several craft clubs and organizations over the years. She and Ken enjoyed traveling extensively in their retirement years. She worked with her daughter at Uncle Al's Thrift Shop in Millbrook, NY, and for many years she was a member of the Kingston Hospital Auxiliary working at the Happy Apple Thrift Shop in Kingston, NY. Her life was full; she had a family that loved her, and many close friends who admired her.
