Judith LaPeruta, 77, of Mount Marion, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at HealthAlliance Hospital - Broadway Campus in Kingston, NY. She was born on February 12, 1945 in Manhattan, NY, daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Zeh) Spetalieri. Judith was married to her husband of 56 years, Richard LaPeruta, Sr. Richard passed away on December 10, 2020.
She worked for many years at Casa Villa Restaurant in Kingston. Judy was very generous and loved by all who knew her and loved cooking for everyone and telling stories about growing up in the Bronx. She also loved taking trips to Atlantic City, and even planning family meetups there. But nothing brought her as much joy as spending time with her grandkids. She will truly be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Judith is survived by her children, Richard LaPeruta and his wife Mary of Hillsborough, NJ, James LaPeruta of Mount Marion, and Michael LaPeruta and his wife Robin of Mount Marion, her siblings, Josephine Catone of Kingston, Susan Claussell and her husband Mario of Mount Marion, and Stephen Spetalieri of Richmond Hill, GA, her grandchildren, Ashley LaPeruta, Amber LaPeruta, Alexa LaPeruta, Anastasia LaPeruta, Logan LaPeruta, Aurora LaPeruta, Alexis LaPeruta, and three great grandchildren, Alexandria LaPeruta, Eloise LaPeruta, and Bryant Zimmerman. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Michael Spetalieri
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Wednesday, December 7 2022 from 3pm to 4pm with the funeral service following at 4pm. A private burial service will take place in St. Mary’s of the Snow Cemetery, Saugerties.
