Joyce Sokol

Joyce Sokol, of The Birches, Saugerties, died Monday, July 23, 2012 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. She was born September 18, 1927 in New York City, the daughter of the late Alex and Molly Rand Posten. She was 84.


She was a Secretary for Knoll Fine Chemical in New York City and New Jersey.


She was married to the late Samuel Sokol.


Joyce is survived by her daughter Amy Gustafson and her husband Bruce of West Hurley; her brother Jules Posten and his wife Sandra of Morris Plains, NJ. A granddaughter, Nissa Gustafson and a grandson, Isaac Gustafson also survive.


Entrusted to the care of Paul Geary of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston where a funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 AM.
