Joshua L. Wade

Joshua L. Wade, 34, of Kingston, NY, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008. He was born October 3, 1973 in Kingston, NY to Shirley (Brodhead) Wade of Kingston and the late Richard Wade.

Josh had attended Kingston High School, and was a graduate of Washoe High School, Reno, Nevada.

He attended Schenectady County Community College Culinary Arts program. He was the Kitchen Manager at Daytop Village Inc., in Rhinebeck, NY, prior to that he had been employed at the Thompson House at Northern Dutchess as a cook.

Growing up, he was a member of the Boy Scouts and Drum Corp. He played basketball, football and was an avid softball player.

He was a kid at heart, who enjoyed reading and collecting comic books. He particularly loved Spiderman. Some of his hobbies included motorcycles, video games, crossword puzzles, music, movies, and he was a die hard NY Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles fan. He had a deep passion for cooking, and a true love for his Boxer dogs. Enjoyed traveling particularly Hawaii, where he found a love for whale watching in Maui.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving fiance Kimberly N. Lukaszewski, his brothers Dale, Jeffery, and Ralph Wade of Nevada, Zachary and Ronnie Wade of Kingston, sisters Linda Hasbrouck and Eva Jackson of Kingston and Jennifer Davis of Missouri. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, niece's nephews and cousins.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY, where services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Dr. G. Modele Clarke, officiating.


Family and friends may call on Thursday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston.
