Josephine Schatzel

Josephine D. Schatzel, formerly of Kingston NY, passed away in Tinton Falls, NJ on June 30, 2011.


She was the daughter of the late Michael and Rose DeCicco of Hurley, NY.


Josephine was married to the late Paul J. Schatzel of Kingston NY who passed on May 10, 2008.


She is mother is to Paul M. and Steven J. Schatzel and grandmother to Alexa, Andrew, Michael, Molly, Heidi, and Drew Schatzel. She was sister to Dorothy Barbuto, and the late Adeline DeCicco and Julie Sands.


Josephine was a graduate of Kingston High School and worked in the private and public sectors in Kingston,


and ended her working career as a volunteer at the Benedictine Hospital gift shop.


Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, NY 12401.




Friends may call on Thursday July 7th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, at the funeral home.




A Mass of Christian Burial will be held this Friday at 1 pm at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church,


242 Wall Street, Kingston, NY. Burial will follow at Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston.
