Josephine P. Perry of Yosman Towers, Broadway, died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Kingston Hospital. She was 87.
She was born in East Kingston on July 27, 1917, a daughter of the late Luigi P. and Maria Naccarato Tiano. For many years Mrs. Perry was a floor lady for Kingston Knitting Mills and Halperns Blouse Factory.
A parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, she belonged to the Yosman Towers Senior Citizens and the I.L.G.W.U., Local 259.
Her husband John Chick died in June of 1944; her second husband Peter Perry died in February of 1976. Three sisters Betty Chick, Rose Tiano and Theresa Salvino and three brothers James, John H. and Frank Tiano all died previously.
Surviving are two sons Santo Perry and his wife Deborah of Warwick and John L. Chick and his wife Joyce of Kingston; one sister Frances Yonnetti of Bloomington; four grandchildren Amanda Perry, Scott Perry, Susanna Clavelli and Jill Reed; three great grandchildren Hunter Reed, Dylan Perry and Daniel Clavelli. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Reposing at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Friday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 AM. A committal service will follow at Wiltwyck Cemetery.
