Josephine "Josie" Morra, 84, of Fairdale Ave., Lake Katrine, passed suddenly Sunday morning, September 16, 2012 at her residence. She was born September 2, 1928 in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth Barbero. She was the loving wife of Diego "Dick" Morra, they wed May 26, 1951.
She was a parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure R.C. Church, was past President of St. Francis de Sales Ladies Auxiliary, she had taught CCD, enjoyed cards, bowling, cooking and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her beloved family, her children Richard Morra and his wife Victoria of Big Indian, Patricia Johnson and her husband Stephen of Kingston, Donna Romeo and her husband Victor of Kingston, Robert Morra and his wife Michelle of Port Charlotte, Fl and Beatrice Hull and her husband David of Fleischmanns, a special niece Valerie Panaro of Kingston, 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Jennie LaVeglia, Mary Panaro and a brother Louis Barbero.
Entrusted to the care of the Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, where the procession will form on Friday at 10 a.m. and proceed to St. Catherine Laboure R.C. Church where at 11 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Catherine Laboure R.C.
