Josephine "Jodi" McTague

Josephine "Jodi" V. McTague, 88, of the Town of Marbletown, passed on Friday evening, January 29, 2021 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Kingston,

She was born on July 22, 1932 in New York City and was the daughter of the late John and Beatrice Caulfield.

For many years Jodi worked for WGHQ in the news department, working closely with Harry Thayer. She was very involved in the news department of the radio station, was a registered NBC reporter and worked closely with Mary Margaret McBride, the First Lady of Radio. She interviewed many political and civic leaders, and such personalities as Jack Lord, Tom Selleck, Romeo Muller, the author of Rudolph Red Nose Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman.

One of her favorite things was hosting the popular local radio show "Speak Out" a forum for people to express their views and opinions. She always wanted everyone to be represented and feel their voice was heard.

She volunteered her time helping those in need, especially those at the Benedictine Hospital, many lives were touched by her acts of kindness

Josephine was married to the late Shamus J McTague, she is survived by her sons Stephen McTague and James McTague, she was predeceased by her brothers Buddy, Joe, Harry and Malchey Caulfield and her sisters Mary Hall and Margaret Caulfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
