Josephine Arcadipane of Seven Greens Apartments, Town of Ulster died Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at her home. She was 73.
She was born in New York City on August 24, 1931, a daughter of the late Michael and Lucy Larusso Calo.
A longtime area resident, for many years Mrs. Arcadipane worked at Woolworth's in the Town of Ulster. In recent years she worked in the Foster Grandparent Program at the Crosby Elementary School.
Her husband Thomas J. Arcadipane died November 23, 1978. One son Thomas M. Arcadipane and one brother Louis Calo both died previously.
Surviving are three daughters Phyllis Campagna and her husband Rosario of Astoria; Maria Mojica and her husband Ted of Town of Ulster; Joanne Arcadipane and her husband Chris Maloney of Kingston; one son Michael Arcadipane and his wife Jennifer of the Town of Ulster; three sisters Angie and Marco Vitzileos, Connie and John Augoustatos and Lucille and Steve Protofanousis, all of Astoria; five grandchildren Anthony T. Navatto, Jennifer and Daniel Mojica, Emma Maloney, Grace Arcadipane; many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Avenue on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral procession will form on Monday between 10:00 and 10:45 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church at 11:30. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
