Joseph S. Lawson

Joseph S. Lawson, 57, of Kingston, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014. He was born January 30, 1956 to the late Joseph and Irene (Miller) Lawson.

Joe was a Kingston High School Graduate, class of 1975. After graduating, he served his country in the United States Navy from 1976 to 1980. Joe worked in many careers and most recently was a driver for Kingston Kabs. He enjoyed playing the trumpet, clarinet and keyboard. In high school he was a member of the KHS band as well as the track and field team.

Joe is survived by his children, Vanessa Lawson and Jeremy Lawson, of Kingston, his brother, Doug Lawson of Kingston, his life-long companion, Roxanne Lawson of Kingston, his Mother, Irene Lawson of Kingston, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, David Lawson.

Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston. Friends may call on Monday January 13th from 4pm to 6pm at the Funeral Home, and Tuesday January 14th from 9am to 12 noon at Riverview Missionary Baptist Church, 240 Catherine Street, Kingston. The Home Going service will start at 12 noon. Burial will follow the service.
