Joseph Gordon Ziemlewicz

Joseph Gordon Ziemlewicz of Hinsdale St., Town of Ulster, NY died Friday, December 21, 2007 at Kingston Hospital. He was 47. He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on August 6, 1960, a son of Leonard V. and Dorothy E. Arndt Ziemlewicz. Mr. Ziemlewicz graduated from the East Detroit School District and then R.E.T.S Electronics School in Detroit. He moved to Saugerties in the early 1980's and then to Kingston in 1985. Joe began his career at IBM in January 1981. For most of his 27 year tenure at IBM, Joe worked on IBM Mainframe computers, both in Manufacturing and Development. For the last 15 years of his career, Joe was a member of the Engineering System Test team, mainly working at the Poughkeepsie site. All who worked with him, knew of his talent and willingness to help. He recently received his Quarter Century Club membership. Surviving are his parents of Eastpointe, Michigan; two brothers Patrick Ziemlewicz and his wife Denise and Kenneth Ziemlewicz and his wife Dee Dee, both of Eastpointe, MI; one sister Cindy Collinson and her husband Jeff of Harper Woods, MI; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service is being planned for January in Kingston.
