John T. Carpino, 50, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Ralph "Sonny" Carpino and Connie Guido Carpino of Kingston. He graduated from Kingston High School Tobin Learning Center in 1985 and worked at Pilot Industries through 2014. He recently was attending the Wall Street Day Program. John was very kind, considerate and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to watch sports and was a fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants and college basketball, especially the UNC Tar Heels. He enjoyed watching old movies, comedy sitcoms, the Weather Channel, reading, especially the newspaper and working on his Word-Find puzzle books. He loved to take his daily walk or on stormy days, ride his stationary bike. He was a joy to be around and will be greatly missed by his family, who loved him dearly.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by his brother, Michael Carpino of Houston, TX, his sister, Melinda Birzenieks and her husband Michael of Kingston, his three aunts, Dolores McCauley, June Guido and Nancy Guido, one uncle, Joseph Carpino, along with two nieces and many cousins.
John will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 1-4 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, with Rev. James Borstelmann from St. Colman's Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
