John Sacco, formerly of Lincoln Park Place, Town of Ulster died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at his New Port News, VA residence after a long illness. He was 88. He was born in East Kingston, NY, a son of the late Louis and Josephine Guido Sacco. John served in the US Army during WW II in the European Theatre of Operations. He married Teresa Alberti in December 1947. After working in the area brickyards, in 1955 John began a 29-year career at I.B.M., Kingston. He retired in 1984 and belong to the Quarter Century CLub. He was a former member of Old Dutch Church, Kingston. John and Theresa moved to Virginia, 6 years ago. Surviving are his wife Theresa Sacco, his daughter Catherine Wolff of New Port News, his granddaughter Angela Wolff, many nieces and nephews. One sister Anna Mitchell and three brothers Angelo, Louis and Frank Sacco all died previously. Family and friends with gather at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Saturday, November 20th from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. His nephew, Joseph Mitchell, will conduct a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 2 Jefferson Plaza, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
