John S. Ryan

John "Junie'' S. Ryan, 62, of Kingston, NY, died Friday, May 27, 2011 at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston, NY. He was born March 14, 1949 in Staten Island, NY to the late Thomas A. Ryan and Madeleine Dunn.

He was married to his loving bride of 27 years Susan Lyons Ryan.

John was the owner and operator of Superior Fireplaces of the Hudson Valley in Kingston, NY. His later years were blessed by the gift of a double lung transplant in June 2003.

He loved boats and cars (and anything with horsepower), and enjoyed sharing his boat "Briney Marlin" with family and friends.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Britt Lyons Ryan of West Hartford, CT, his sisters Susan Clow of Berkeley Heights, NJ and Virginia Ryan of Chatham, NJ, as well as his beloved dogs, Tali and Chloe.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his sisters Jill Swartsel and Nancy Ryan.
