John Pulvirenti

John Pulvirenti, 96, of Park Lane, Port Ewen, NY, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at Kingston Hospital, Kingston, NY. He was born October 7, 1913 in Zafferana Etnea, Italy, to the late Salvatore and Maria (Zappala) Pulvirenti.




He was married to the Marion Romano Pulvirenti, who died on September 17, 1986.




Mr. Pulvirenti had been the proprietor of the Vineyard Restaurant in uptown Kingston, and the Tropical Inn of Port Ewen, for many years.




John was a parishioner of Presentation RC Church, he enjoyed gardening.




John is survived by his Loving daughters, Maryann Pulvirenti of Poughkeepsie, and Rosemary Esposito and her husband Peter of Hurley, NY, beloved companion Peggy Szymanski, Port Ewen, NY,


6 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, brother Joseph Pulvirenti, Kingston, NY, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Vincent and Salvatore Pulvirenti.




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 216 Broadway, Port Ewen. Friends may call on Thursday from 2- 4 & 7 - 9 PM. The procession will form on Friday at 10:15AM and proceed to Presentation R.C. Church where at 11:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Carl Johnson.
