John N. Hoy, III

John N. Hoy III, of West Camp, died Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Moorehead City, NC, he was a son of the late John N. & Sadie R. Hoy, Jr. John enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and going to the diner. He was volunteer fireman at the Malden West Camp Fire Department, the Connelly Fire Department and a life member of the Saugerties fish and game club. John worked alongside his parents at Certified Marina in Connelly. John is survived by his two sons, Matthew J. Hoy of West Camp and Jonathan Hoy of Florida, six siblings, Sharon Jones and her husband Fred of Port Ewen, Richard Hoy and his wife Laurie of Mt. Tremper, Susan Newkirk and her husband Robert of Rhinebeck, Kathy Bruno and her husband Pat of Saugerties, Gloria Bonsteel and her husband Stephen of Esopus, William Hoy and his wife Debbie of Ulster Park. Many nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, friends at the Marina and the diner also survive. John will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
