John ''Jack'' Mecca, 65, of Melissa Road, Kingston, passed Friday, December 28, 2012 at Kingston Hospital. He was born July 12, 1947 in the Bronx, the son Ruth Pello of Manahawkin, NJ and the late Daniel Mecca.
Jack was a graduate of Rutgers University; he had been employed as a manager by Applied Materials, Hopewell Junction for over 20 years.
Jack enjoyed golf, music, bird watching, gardening, computer gadgets and technology
He is survived by his daughter Mecca Conway of Allston, MA, a brother Daniel Mecca, Jr., of West Orange, NJ, his fiancé Peggy Tobin of Goshen, NY, his grandchildren Mimi and Alexander Eastham, Bay St. Louis, MS and many nieces and nephews.
Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, the family will receive their friends on Wednesday from 4 - 7 pm. The Memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 am. Burial in Hurley cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Queens Galley, 254 Washington Ave Kingston NY 12401
