John Lee Brooks

John Lee Brooks of Valhank Drive died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at home. He was 65. He was born June 13, 1948 in Baltimore, MD the son of Anna Brooks. John graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, received his Bachelor's degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1970 and his Master of Science degree from Ohio State. He served in the army from 1971 - 1974. John was a Senior Programmer for IBM in Poughkeepsie. An avid skier, he was a member of the Trailsweepers Ski Club and was an active supporter of the Children's Home of Kingston. Surviving family are Douglas and Matthew Aho; as well as an extended family of friends. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue where friends will be received on Sat. May 31st from 2:00 - 3:30 PM at which time funeral services will be conducted. Cremation was private. In honor of John's love of animals and desire to help those in need, memorial contributions may be directed to the ASPCA or Children's Home of Kingston.
