John Patrick Fitzgerald

July 20, 1988 — April 5, 2023

Ego says, "Once everything falls into place, I'll feel peace." Spirit says, "Find your peace, and then everything will fall into place."  John Patrick Fitzgerald finally found the peace he had been searching for on April 5th 2023.

Born July 20th 1988 to Daniel Joseph Fitzgerald and MaryEllen Filippelli, Johnny-Boy wasted no time being the center of attention, nearly passing of SIDS his first week of life.  Johnny's guardian angels were working overtime that day and every day thereafter.  His big sister, Shauna, took her role as protector, confidant & partner in crime very seriously from day one.

"JP" was raised in Olivebridge, NY and it was here that he met his core crew of fellow jokesters & troublemakers - many of whom became his lifelong friends.  His youth was spent playing in the woods & shooting bb-guns; Sleigh riding on restricted property & running from the DEP; Frolicking in the Phoenicia mountains and swimming in the Esopus Creek; Poking frogs & feeding deer; Running around barefoot & playing late night games of manhunt.

"JP Fitty" was known for his exceptional sense of humor & his gregarious smile!  He is remembered as "the life of the party" and this is the tone we wish to perpetuate at his memorial ...Minimal tears, lots of laughs & plenty of inappropriate jokes!

Please join us on 4/23/23 from 12-3pm to commemorate Johnny's life & share all the outrageous, politically incorrect, over the top stories of his time here on earth!

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to Ryan's House - a local nonprofit that offers a safe, sober, supportive home for individuals in recovery.  Additional information about Ryan's House can be found here:
