John D. Lange

John D. Lange, 81, of Hurley, NY, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 at home. He was born January 21, 1932 in Schuyler, NY to the late John and Lottie (Lesniak) Lange.

He was married to Emily (Kolwaite) Lange on June 6 1953. Emily and John had celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary in 2003. After being married for Fifty Four years Emily passed away in 2007.

John served in the US Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He later worked as a Service Representative for Ford/New Holland in New Holland, PA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion in Clark Mills, NY. John enjoyed model railroading, building model airplanes, working on his family's genealogy and eating delicious meals with his family. He was an all around good handyman.

John is survived by his children, Timothy Lange and his wife Katherine of Gardiner, NY, Kathryn Lange and her partner Timothy Talleur of Clinton Corners, NY, David Lange and his wife Marie of Beaumont, CA, his siblings, Theadore Lange and his wife Nancy of Schuyler, NY, Dorothy Brucker and her husband George of Clinton, NY, Roger Lange and his wife Janet of North Gage, NY, Pauline Haman and her husband Donald of Schuyler, NY, Eleanor Tolpa and her husband Stanley of Utica, NY, Dennis Lange of Arvada, CO, and Harold Lange and his wife Christine of Rock Hill, SC. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jesse, Dawn, Danny, Mickey, Cody and Darla, as well as several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents he is predeceased by his sisters, Virginia Covey and Mildred Lange.

Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends may call on Thursday June 20th from 2-4 & 7-8pm. A time of sharing and remembrance will start at 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday June 21st at St. Joseph's Church, 242 Wall St., Kingston, NY, at 10am. Burial will follow in Hurley Cemetery, Hurley, NY.
