John Bessman, Sr.

John Bessman, Sr., 90, of Lake Katrine, NY, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at home. He was born on June 25, 1934 in Hudson, NY and was the son of the late Alexander Bessman and Stephania Helnarski.

John was married on July 28, 1984 in Kingston, NY to Florence Ruth Kelly.

He enjoyed traveling in his RV and spending time on the Hudson River either boating or riding his Ski Doo and was a life time member of the Saugerties Power Boat Association.

John served in military from 1956-1958 and was stationed in Germany.

He is survived by his wife Florence Bessman, his children John Bessman, Jr. and Susan Florsch (Brett Herbert), and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
