Also survived by nieces Jennifer Buton and Claudine Buglisi as well as sister-in-law Linda Morrissey McComb. Johanna is preceded in death by her son Thomas Morrissey and grandson Alex Morrissey.

Johanna lived her life with love and kindness toward others. Her home was a haven to those who may have needed comfort, to simply be heard or maybe just a cup of coffee or a good meal. The common sentiment amongst those who mourn her passing is that Johanna was consistent in her love and acceptance of everyone who knew her. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was known for her unwavering love and dedication to her children and grandchildren. She was a champion of animals, as she had many throughout her life, often taking in strays or animals with special challenges and making them a part of her family. Johanna was a prism of love and light in the world. Her family will miss her, her friends will miss her, her pets will miss her, and the world will miss this beautiful, loving soul.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
