Joel B. Brink, 87, a lifelong resident of the Town of Ulster, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Glens Falls Hospital. He was born December 20, 1934 in Kingston, NY to the late Hubert and Eva (Rifenburgh) Brink, Sr. He was married to his best friend Gisela (Forst) Brink, they wed on December 12, 1954 in Kingston.
Joel was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1954. He later worked for IBM in Kingston for many years until his retirement in 1992. He was very active in the Old Dutch Church where he served as Elder and on the Consistory Board in the 1960's. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He served 5 terms as a Town Councilmen in the Town of Ulster. Joel enjoyed traveling with his wife.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lisa Cohen and her husband Andre of Queensbury, NY, his grandson, Brandon Joel Cohen and his wife Miranda, two special babies and his brother, David Brink and his wife Gloria of Lake Katrine. He is predeceased by his brother, Hubert Brink, Jr. and niece Susan Brink. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Saturday, April 2 from 10am to 12pm. A funeral service will take place at 12:00pm. Private inurnment to follow at Wiltwyck Cemetery.
