JoAnn F. Ekstrom

JoAnn F. Ekstrom, 75, of Saugerties, NY, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehab Center in Kingston, NY. She was born February 24, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of the late Chester and Pauline Dawe.

She was a Kingston High School Graduate and later attended Ulster County BOCES and Ulster County Community College where she received her degree in nursing. She worked at Benedictine Hospital as a Nurse for over 30 years. Her life's work was helping others, both as a nurse taking care of patients during some of the most difficult times in their lives and as a dear family member and friend to many. If you ever needed anything, JoAnn was there to help.

JoAnn is survived by her children, Kelli DuBois of West Camp, Karin Ippolito and her husband Jeff of West Camp, and Kevin Hallock and his wife Brenda of Saugerties, her grandchildren, Amber DuBois, Eric Aiello, Kristi Aiello, and Emily Hallock, her sister, Pam Bergeron and her husband Dave, her great-granddaughter, Lola (Amber's daughter), and her nephews, Adam Dawe and James Connelly. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Regina Connelly and her husband James, and her son in law, Bill DuBois.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401 where family and friends may visit on Tuesday December 7, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm with the funeral service taking place at 6pm.
