Joan McCloskey

Joan McCloskey, 79, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Kingston Hospital. She was the wife of the late William J. McCloskey, Jr. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Fred & Margaret Crantz. Joan enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, William J. McCloskey, III of Kingston, her daughter in law, Elaine McCloskey of Kingston, two grandchildren, Gregory and Erica, one sister, Marie Briggs and her husband John of Kingston. Several brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews also survive. In addition to her husband and parents, Joan was predeceased by her son, Garry M. McCloskey and her siblings, Vincent, Joseph, Francis, Thomas and Fred Crantz and Louise Dietz. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 2-6 PM. The funeral procession will form on Monday at 9:00 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
