Joan K. Wiands

Joan K. Wiands, 81, of Hurley, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at Kingston Hospital. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late William & Frances Thomas. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Church. She is survived by her husband Theodore L. Wiands of Hurley, whom she married in 1953, a daughter, Deborah F. Mapes and her husband Dan of Fort Myers, FL, a son, Richard Wiands of Kingston, a sister, Margaret Schryver and her husband Fred of Kingston, Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her sister Charlotte Urban. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
