Joan Greer

Joan Greer, 88, of Kingston, passed peacefully Wednesday evening March 11, 2015 at Ten Broeck Commons, Lake Katrine surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 19, 1927 in Yonkers, and was the daughter of the late Adeline M. McPolin.


She was the wife of the late Hugh C. Greer, he passed on Jan. 28, 2005.


Joan had been employed by the Benedictine Hospital as an OB technician for many years. She had attended St. John's Episcopal Church, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.


Joan is survived by her children Diane Grembocki of Albany, Kathi Ellsworth and her husband Douglas of St. Remy, Scott Greer and his wife Erica of Stone Ridge, Jann Haaland and her husband Robert of Ulster Park, a daughter in law Janet Greer of Kingston, grandchildren Jill Viscusi, Richard Grembocki, Todd and John Ellsworth, Scott and Lauren Greer and Andrew Haaland, 8 great grandchildren also survived. She was predeceased by a son Jon Greer and a son in law Frank Grembocki,


Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Monday from 11 - 1 pm with the service at 1pm Monday. Burial in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
