Joan Barbara Arena, 72, of Yarmouth Street, formerly of Esopus, died Monday, June 18, 2012 at Kingston Hospital. She was born September 5, 1939 in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Randolph and Jean Holt. She was the wife of the late Frank R. Arena.
She had been employed by the Benedictine Hospital and Northern Dutchess Hospital in the business office and then the Thompson House in the business office until her retirement.
She was a very active member of the Kingston Maennerchor and Damenchor and the Sangerbund.
The Bible says in all things we should give him glory. Today we wanted to say thank you Lord for our mother. She was a great friend, always there for us. She was patient, kind, loving and caring. Quick to forgive and slow to anger. She spent her life trying to make sure our life was good. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving family, her children, Robert Arena Kenneth Arena, Susan Arena, grandchildren Suzanne Maynard - Garrison and Krista Arena, great grandson James Garrison.
She was predeceased by a son Richard Arena.
