Joan B. Killeen

Joan B. Killeen, 82, of Port Ewen, passed Tuesday evening August 28, 2012 at the Kingston Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 25, 1930 in Kingston and was a graduate of Kingston High School. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Killeen; he passed on January 5, 1996.




Joan was a Co-owner for Port Ewen Liquor Store, was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, for many years she had been the Town of Esopus Tax collector. She enjoyed traveling, going to Atlantic City and Mohegan Sun.




Joan is survived by her son Thomas J. Killeen Jr., Ulster Park, daughter Susan K. Whalen, Port Ewen, her grandchildren Christina and Daniel Whalen, Peter & Kevin Craig, several nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter Kathleen Craig.




Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, visitation will be Friday from 2- 4 & 6 - 9 pm. The service will be Saturday at 11:00 am.


Burial in Montrepose Cemetery.
