Jerome L. Massee

Jerome L. Massee, 77, formerly of Enfield, CT, passed away April 28, 2008 at Kaaterskill Care, Catskill, NY. He was born December 31, 1930 at Springfield, MA to the late Logan J. and the late Hope (Sprague) Massee.

He graduated from American International College in Springfield, MA and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He retired in 1989 to Lehigh Acres, FL after a career at Conn. Mutual Life Ins. Co. and lived there until his illness in 2005. He was a member of the Masonic Lodges of Springfield, Ma and Fort Myers, FL. He was predeceased by his wife Joan R. Massee and brother, Bruce C. Massee.

He is survived by one daughter: Susan M. Foxx of Hummelstown, PA and one son: Steven J. Massee of West Hurley, NY.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 14, 2008, at the West Cemetery, Rte. 190, Somers, Ct., at 10 AM.

The memorial service will include the re-interment in Somers of his wife Joan Reece Massee. Mrs. Massee, 69, passed away on September 29, 2001 in Florida. She was born January 29, 1932 in Bar Harbor, ME to the late David T. and the late Josephine (Blanchard Reece) Facey. She was a graduate of the Univ. of Conn, a retired teacher in the Enfield School System and a volunteer with the Literacy Councils of Lehigh Acres, FL and Enfield, CT.
