Jeffrey C. Henderson, 65, of West Hurley, died peacefully Tuesday, February 2, 2016 with his wife by his side.
Born in Poughkeepsie, he was a son of the late John Henderson & Ethel Partridge DiBella. Jeffrey was an animal lover and a vegetarian. He was a collector of musical instruments, movies, and all different types of music. He loved his motorcycles, football, baseball, the ocean and traveling out west. Also, he was a longtime employee of UGARC at Palmer center where he was a loyal and generous friend to many staff members and individuals. He had a love of Spanish language and culture as well as Native Americans and his own Scottish heritage. He was very generous and loving. Every aspect of life received his attention and his caring nature was felt by all who knew him.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife Judith Henderson of West Hurley, a brother, Rodney C. Henderson and his wife Laurie of Rosendale, a sister, Janis H. Bradley and her husband, Preston of Tallahassee, FL, five step siblings, Joe DiBella of Hollywood, FL, Annette Sorne and her husband Brien of Tallahassee, FL, Carla DiBella Costi of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Angela DiBella of Kingston, Kim Henderson and his wife Arlene of Decatur, AL, a step mother, Betty Henderson of Dectur, AL and his brother in law Mark and sister in law Christine Rollo of Del Ray Beach Florida. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, Friday, February 5, 2016 from 4-8 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 4:00 PM, with Rev. David Jolly from St. James United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be private.
