Jeanne Elliott

April 4, 1935 — July 2, 2011

Jeanne L. Elliott, 76, of Boiceville, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Kingston Hospital after a brief illness. She was born April 4, 1935 the daughter of the late Elmer and Esther Rylance.




She was the wife of late Elmer R. Elliott, who died on January 8, 2004.




Mrs. Elliott was a graduate of Kingston High School and had attended Wagner College on Staten Island, she began her career working for Central Hudson and then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring as Post Master of the Boiceville Post Office after 30 years. She then worked for the Olive Free Library in West Shokan.







A faithful member of the Grace Community Church in Lake Katrine, she was part of the Christian Women's Club, was active in establishing the church library. She loved to read, garden and family gatherings.







Jeanne is survived by her loving family Eric R. Elliott, Nancy L. Elliott and her husband Robert Koller, her sister Joan Trowbridge, her grandchildren Dustin, Tania, Stephen, Story, Benjamin, Briana and Garrett, great grandchildren Tatum and Todd, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant son Gary D. Elliott and a sister Priscilla Preuss




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm. Burial in Hurley Cemetery.




The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Olive Free Library Association, 4033 Rt 28-A
