Jeanette A. Dunn

Jeanette A. Dunn, 91, of Kingston, NY, passed peacefully Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Ten Broeck Commons, Lake Katrine, NY with her children by her side. She was born August 10, 1924 in Queens, NY the daughter of the late Charles J. and Juliette Strasser.


She was the wife of the late Rev. Frederick C. Dunn who died June 22, 1984.


For many years she was a reading para professional for Kingston City Schools at the Sophie Finn and George Washington Elementary schools, retiring in 1995.



Jeanette was a faithful member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, active in the church's Altar Guild, Redeemer Church Women, Widow and Widowers Group and volunteered in the church's nursery.


She was a member of the Ulster Senior Bowling League, the Telephone Pioneers, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and a volunteer at Benedictine Hospital and the reading programs at George Washington and Meagher Schools.


Jeanette is survived by her brother Charles J. Strasser, Jr. and his wife Edna of Madison, NJ; her

children, Frederick C. Dunn, Jr. and his wife Luanne of Atlanta, GA, Janet A. Marz and her husband Robert of Kingston, NY and Nancy Dunn Colasurdo and her husband David of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren Lauren Marz, Andrea Tresaloni, Frederick C. Dunn, III, Christian Dunn, Alexa Colasurdo and Nicole Colasurdo; and great grandson Blake Tresaloni.


Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, where the family will receive friends on Friday, March 11th, from 4 - 7 pm.


The service will be Saturday, March 12th, 10 am at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, followed by burial in St. Paul's Wurtemburg Cemetery, Rhinebeck, NY.
