Jay L. Klitzner, 74, of Kingston, passed away Friday, August 10th at HeathAlliance, Broadway Campus, with his loving wife of 55 years by his side. Born September 10th, 1943 in Newark, New Jersey, he is the son of the late Gladys Klitzner.
Jay lived a life full of happiness, joy and pride. He married his best friend, Carol, on February 12th, 1963. He took pride in his work, having been a butcher at Grand Union for 30 years. Upon his retirement, he owned and operated Starlite Motors. He spent the last several years exploring his newly found passion of going to, and holding yard sales. His latest joy came from his recently adopted 8 month old puppy, Bailey. Jay was a devoted husband, father and grandfather; and nothing made him happier than being surrounded by those he loved. The love and dedication that he showed to his family and close friends will be remembered and cherished for a life time.
In addition to his beloved wife Carol, he is survived by his four children: Kasey Klitzner, Kim Schoen, Jeff Klitzner and Kelly Bruce; his three granddaughters; Shannon Klitzner, Samantha Maki and Danielle Schoen, his great-grandson, Myles Cowan, and his sister, Edith Cohen.
