Jason Michael Martin, 34, of Saugerties, NY, died of a brain aneurysm on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 . He was born May 10, 1977 in Burley, ID to Michael and Ann (Wisecaver) Martin of Boise, ID. He was married to Anne Barliant on October 10, 2009 in Clermont, NY. Jason was raised and attended school in Burley, Idaho, later moving to Boise, Idaho. Jason was an overachiever in everything he did, from becoming an Eagle Scout to maintaining straight A's throughout his school and college years. He graduated high school in 1995 as a valedictorian at Centennial High School. Jason graduated from Bard College in 1999 with a bachelors degree in Studio Art and Photography. He worked as a photographer, designer, and film maker. In 2000 he merged his love of music with his passion for visual arts and founded, with others, The 32B Media/Arts Project, a non-profit recording studio and multi-use studio facility in the Hudson Valley. At 32B he recorded and produced albums for The Bloodsugars, Zagnut Cirkus Orkestar, Urban Myth, The Giraffes, and Jollyship the Whiz-Bang. He was also a partner in the multimedia development company Evolving Media Network where he worked as a video producer and art director. More recently he was a highly respected cinematographer and filmmaker and collaborated with his wife, Anne, and many others in the Hudson Valley. He was a loving friend, husband, son, and brother. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his brother, Jeremy Martin of Boise, ID. Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401 where friends may call on Sunday from 12:30 - 1:30pm. A memorial service will take place at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Apple was a beloved friend and companion to Jason, who loved all dogs. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite animal shelter.
