Janice Lenza

Janice Lenza, 88, formerly of Ulster Park, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Ten Broeck Commons, Lake Katrine, NY. She was born February 13, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY to the late William and Augusta (Geschwantner) Deutschendorf.

She was the wife of Alfonso "Al" Lenza, they were married on April 20, 1947.

Mrs. Lenza was a very active member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, she had been superintendent of the nursery school, served as a Sunday School Teacher, member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and a member of the church sewing group, Esopus Senior Citizens, Ladies of the Moose, Kingston Lodge # 970 and was very active volunteer at UARC.

In addition to her husband Al, she is survived by her children, Alan Lenza and his wife Heidi, Saugerties, NY, Phyllis Lynn Lenza, Plattekill, NY, grandson Andrew "AJ" Lenza, and a sister Gloria Santillo, Sharon Springs, NY. She was the brother of the late Robert Deutschendorf.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 7 pm. The service will be held on Tuesday at 11am at Keyser Funeral Service, Kingston. Pastor Audrey Pedersen, officiating.
