Janice DePace

November 20, 1942 — December 8, 2014

Janice A (Breitenbach) De Pace, 72, of Bloomingburg, NY, formerly of Kingston, NY, took the hand of the good lord, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday December 8th, 2014. She was born on November 20, 1942 in Patterson, NJ.


She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who was content with the simple things in life. The only thing she loved almost as much as her family was penguins.


Janice was predeceased by her parents Louis H. & Helene E. (Larkin) Breitenbach, her sister Lillian J. (Breitenbach) Emigh, and three grandchildren: Joseph, Melissa and Joshua Scotto.


She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Nicholas C. DePace, her mother Lillian Breitenbach, her daughter Jody M. Smith and her husband James L. Smith, her sons: Nicholas De Pace and his partner Kathleen Litts and Alan L. De Pace and his partner Paula Cornelison. Her grandchildren Michael Scotto, Jessica Scotto, Heather Smith, Troy Smith, Katelyn DePace, Tyler Swift, Alan Jr., Angelina, Alana, Amara, Nayla, Ariel and Kayba De Pace, her great grandchildren: Melissa, Kaylee and Michael Scotto and Mackenzie Weller. Her sisters and brothers: Judie (Breitenbach) VanAmburgh, Ida (Breitenbach) Myers and her husband Charles, LouAnn Breitenbach, Louise Breitenbach and Louis Breitenbach 3rd. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.


Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. 326 Albany Avenue Kingston, where friends will be received on Friday from 5-7 PM. A service will be held at 6:30 pm.


In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Janice's name to her family c/o Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. 326 Albany Avenue Kingston, NY 12401.
