Janice Ann Douglas of Sawkill Road, Sawkill died Monday, December 22, 2008 at her home. She was 60. She was born in Mineola on November 24, 1948, a daughter of the late Edward P. and Doris Reynolds Sulzbach. Janice had an Associates Degree in food service. For 27 years Janice was a diet technician at the Hudson Valley Rehabilitation & Extended Care Center, Highland. She had a great love for her family and friends and especially her grandson Matthew. Surviving are her son Michael J. Douglas Jr. and his wife Traci of Modena; one brother Arden Sulzbach and his wife Patty of Edgewater, Florida; one sister-in-law, Carol Sulzbach of Sierra Vista, AZ; her grandson Matthew Douglas; her former husband Michael J. Douglas of Connelly; several nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 12:00 p.m. Fr. Eugene Grohe will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Mountain Cemetery, Saugerties. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220. Arrangements by Bernard Hamilton.
