Janet F. Short

Janet F. Short, 78, of Schuler Lane, Lake Katrine, NY, died Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Kingston Hospital, Kingston, NY. She was born July 29, 1930 in Kingston, NY to the late Howard and Muriel Hornbeck. Beloved wife of over 50 years to the late Donald B. Short, who died February 4, 2004.

She was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1947; she had worked at Key Bank and at Met Life until her retirement. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church, and when in Florida was a faithful worshiper at Center Point Community Church in Naples. She was a member of Friends of Historic Kingston and a volunteer at the Kingston Hospital.

Janet is survived by her sons Donald H. Short and his wife Bonnie, Town of Ulster, William "Shorty" S. Short, Mt. Marion, , daughter Judith Wheeler, Stillwater, NY, grandchildren Shanna and Daniel Short, New York City, and Larry Lohman, Kingston, NY.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am. Rev. Howard Smith, officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 2- 4 & 7 - 9
