Jane A. Gilday, 94, of Kingston, NY, formerly of West Chestnut Street, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at The Golden Hill Health Care Center. She was born October 6, 1915 in Kingston to the late Walter T and Laura Lundy Elston.

She was married to Andrew T. Gilday, who passed away on August, 17th 1986.

Jane was a teacher at the Port Ewen Elementary School for 30 years before retiring in 1978.

She was a parishioner at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Kingston, as well as a member of the Junior League, United Teachers Federation and NYS Teachers Association.

Jane is survived by her children Andrew J. Gilday and his wife Marianne of Rosendale, Thomas R. Gilday and his wife Anita of Kingston, John G. Gilday and his wife Sharon of Penfield, NY, Elizabeth J Kiley and her husband Colin of East Harwich, MA and Kathryn A Wiggin and her husband Deane of Chatham, MA. She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she is predeceased by her siblings; Dorothy, Walter and Gilbert Elston.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston NY 12401, where the procession will form on Saturday at 11:00 AM and proceed to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston.
