Kingston - James G. "Jerry" Krom died Monday, July 20, 2015 at his home. He was 90. He was born in Bridgeport, CT a son of the late James M. and Martha Steele Krom. He served in the U.S. Army Engineers during World War II in the European theater. He returned home to begin a 35 year career with the New York Telephone Company. He was a life member of the Marbletown Reformed Church. Surviving are his wife Dorothy Wright Krom, his sons James R. of Sarasota, FL, Jeffery P. and his wife Ann of Los Lunas, NM; and his daughters, Barbara J. Krzywonos and her husband Thomas of Saugerties; Mary C. Schomer and her husband James of Kerhonkson, 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife Jeanne M. Hotaling and son Stanley J. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral and Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston. A memorial service will be held at the Marbletown Reformed Church, Stone Ridge on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
