James F. Faxon, 74, of Ulster Park, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home.
Born in Port Jervis, Jim was a veteran of the US Army, worked as a manager for retail stores, Caldor, Ames and Barkers. He also worked at IBM in Fishkill as a computer technician. He had a passion for classic cars and was a loving father, grandfather and provider.
He is survived by his five children, James Faxon and his wife Holly of Florida, Debra Supulski of North Carolina, Cynthia Woodward of PA, Christopher Faxon and his wife Suzette of New Paltz and Melissa Faxon of Port Ewen, four grandchildren, Makel, Tristan, Logan and Scott. His former wife Marilyn Garnett of Highland also survives.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The American Legion Post 1298 of Esopus will conduct their service at 7:30.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at noon. Interment will follow in New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
